This week at the Greenhouse, we had IDM co-director R. Luke Dubois to conduct a workshop on Max MSP, a visual programming language. It was an honor to learn this tool from Luke who is a composer and artist with a doctorate degree in Music composition by Columbia University. The students enjoyed the session as Luke covered the basics of this tool by experimenting with sound and images, managing to create a band right here at the Greenhouse! Participants wanted more of such events as it was helpful and knowledgeable. “It’s Max MSP and Luke. What’s not to like?” We hope to have Luke at future events at MakerSpace as well.
