It’s that time of year again; the trick or treating, the candy, the pranks. It’s Halloween Season and here at the MakerSpace, you’re in for a treat!
The MakerSpace has been hosting a three part workshop series focusing on the festivities of the Halloween season!

Our first workshop, Foam Armor was a success. Our TAs, Jess and Luis guided students to make foam helmets and shields. The students had a great time and went home happy with their end products.

During our second workshop in the series, Halloween Decorations; Jess, Luis, and Jason made decorations using the laser cutters, 3D printers and LED lights to put everything together. The components for the light up decorations were engraved acrylic with different decorations ranging from skulls to geometric designs, the stands were created by the Elite Printers in the space and lastly, purchased LEDs to give it an eerie glow.

So what’s next? Isn’t one last workshop left to make it a total of three? Yes, there is. If you enjoyed our first two workshops, be sure to come back for our third and final workshop: Witch and Wizard Costume Design! Don’t forget to reserve a spot at our next workshop! Link is below! You’re going to have a magical and spooktacular time!
