What is MakerGarage?
The Clocktower Building, a 1920s cast-concrete edifice in Downtown Brooklyn, possesses an undeniable character-filled charm — some would say much like the borough itself. It’s a fitting home for NYU Tandon’s newest facility, the MakerGarage.
The MakerGarage is a much-welcome addition, particularly for participants in Tandon’s Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) program, which allows students to choose a hands-on project and work on it throughout much of their academic careers.
Location: 325 Gold St, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11201
Summer Hours: *MakerGarage will ONLY be open Thursdays through the Summer*
Saturday - Sunday: Closed
If you are fully trained to use the MakerGarage, there is no reservation needed. However, reservation is still required for the Video Room and the Computer Room at the MakerGarage.
