The James Dyson Foundation has announced that they will be hosting a James Dyson Award info-session and Q&A on May 5th from 12pm – 1pm EST. Participants will have the opportunity to share their inventions and innovative ideas on how to solve problems.Winners will receive prize money and global media exposure! The prize money includes: $2,600 for the national winner, $6,600 for the international runners-up, $40,000 for the sustainability winner, and $40,000 for the international winner (with $6,600 for your university)! All current and recently graduated engineering and design students are welcome to attend the free virtual event to learn more about the award and how to apply.
During the 60 minute info session, an engineer from Dyson will discuss Dyson’s design process and provide students with the tools necessary to enter the competition to show off their world-changing ideas. The 2020 James Dyson Award International Winner, Judit Giró Benet, will also attend the event to provide an overview of the award and share tips on what makes a winning entry. The last 30 minutes will be open for any questions for both the Dyson engineer and Judit! The deadline to enter is June 30!
