AWS Data Exchange is used by data analysts, data scientists, and developers in the industry to find and employ third-party data in the cloud. Get your creative juices flowing with the AWS Data Exchange Challenge as you build a data-driven solution while telling a story! The challenge focuses primarily on data visualization, data analysis, and machine learning with more than $35,000 in prizes. Each project must include two AWS services and one of the 3rd-party data products from AWS providers. If your solution falls under the healthcare, finance, or retail industry, you may be eligible to win a bonus prize! Participants must be 18 years or older and the deadline to register is August 24, 2020.

The PyTorch Summer Hackathon is another wonderful opportunity to build an impactful project and connect with the community. PyTorch is an open source library that is used for language processing and computer vision. To participate, students are required to use PyTorch to build their solution as either a tool to improve efficiency of researchers, an application that users can interact with, or an AI development tool that encourages the development of AI models in a responsible manner. More than $25,000 will be distributed in prizes and first place winners will participate in a 30 minute meeting with the PyTorch team. The deadline to register is August 25, 2020.

As the first hackathon for the Polkadot & Kusama ecosystem, it provides a unique opportunity for students to spark innovation and push limits in the technology sector. The “Open Hack” category encourages students to use their imagination and submit their wildest tools to build on the Kusama network. On the other hand, participants can choose to build custom blockchains that connect to relay chains such as businesses in gaming, esports, music, social networking, and more. The deadline to register is August 14, 2020.
