Tau Beta Pi, the honors engineering society, and Design for America of NYU collaborated to organize the first Arduino workshop for this semester.
This workshop was facilitated by one of our TAs, GuiHui Liu.
Gui planned a simple workshop for the students who had never programmed or used an Arduino before. For simplicity, we grouped the students into teams.
In this workshop, students learned how to LEDs and potentiometers.. Gui started the workshop with the basics of Arduino, and some simple circuit connections to blink an external LED. After that, he showed them how to use a potentiometer. Finally, using a thies two a simple exercise was performed to dim the light and turn the LED OFF and ON.
After the workshop, we gave all the participants cookies!
