The Lemelson-MIT Student Prize, is a national invention competition that recognizes individual graduate students who have tested prototypes of two or more inventions and teams of undergraduate students with a tested prototype of one invention. 2020 Lemelson-MIT Student Prize application deadline is this Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:59pm ET.
The competition recognizes students who have tested prototypes of technology-based inventions in healthcare, food/water and agriculture, transportation and mobility, and consumer devices. In each of the four categories, undergraduate team winners are awarded $10,000 and graduate student winners are awarded $15,000. Students can begin filling out the application now and complete details about the application process and eligibility requirements that are available here.
