New Fellowship Opportunities: NYU Female Founders Fellowship and NYU First Generation to College Founders Fellowship

The NYU Entrepreneurial Institute has announced two new fellowship and funding opportunities: the Female Founders Fellowship and the First Generation to College Founders Fellowship.

The NYU Entrepreneurial Institute is excited to share a new Female Founders Fellowship to better support student entrepreneurs who are committed to advancing gender equality in entrepreneurship!

The program will equip 15-25 fellows each year, with the following support:

Training: Fellows will have access to comprehensive startup training and mentorship through The NYU Entrepreneurial Institute’s programs.

Coaching: Fellows will receive dedicated support from expert startup coaches.

Network of Female Founders: Fellows will be invited to participate in monthly community events, an annual full-day Female Founders Forum, and have access to a network of 120+ external mentors and funders.

Financial Awards (between $5-$50k per grantee): Fellows will have the opportunity to apply for grants to help alleviate the financial burden of building a startup, enabling more fellows to pursue their ventures after graduation.

The Female Founders Fellowship is a program for student entrepreneurs at NYU who are committed to advancing gender equality in entrepreneurship. Applications are open to NYU undergraduate and graduate student entrepreneurs who are enrolled in a degree program from any NYU school or college and are actively working on a startup venture. Recent alumni entrepreneurs who have graduated within the last year (at the time of application) and who started their venture while studying at NYU are also welcome to apply.

The application for the Spring ‘21 Female Founders Fellowship cohort will be due November 16th at 6pm. Check out the NYU Female Founders Fellowship page for more information and info session dates. Read more press about the fellowship here!
