Magdalena “Magda”/ “Maggie” Sawicka is a Senior (class of 2018) at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, pursuing Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Aerospace Engineering.  She is one of the co-founders of the NYU Aerospace Club.

Maggie is a curious person. She has interests in a variety of prototyping methods involving wearables. She is in-charge of the sewing machine area beside the Tool Shed. Previously, she has facilitated a workshop on wearable technology. At the MakerSpace, she is working on a wearable technology project which showcases the potential of creating prototypes at the MakerSpace. It uses 3D tessellations.

Maggie is in the NYU Hyperloop team, which competed in the inaugural competition during January 2017, and currently focusing on the 2018 summer competition. She is the team captain of NYU Hyperloop.

She is a co-founder and junior designer of a foldable water bottle company called FOLT inc.
